About

New Generation for Africa Project is a registered non-profit and non-governmental organisation based in Wa, the Upper West Region of Ghana, West Africa that works in the field of community development, child welfare, education and literature. NGAP was founded by Lawyer Emmanuel L. Dubik Mahama Esq. He was inspired by his mother-Susanna Adisah Mahama, a retired educationist. who founded an earlier NGO known as New Generation for Africa Foundation in the year 2006. It was established to help with rural urban migration of vulnerable young girls especially from the Northern and Upper Regions of Ghana. The revamped NGAP seeks to connect grassroots work in child trafficking, teenage pregnancy, pro-bono legal services for the vulnerable, education, rural-urban resurgence and promotion of STEM education in rural communities.

NGAP wishes to contribute its quota to the development of the youth in Ghana as a whole. Our main focus is to reach all youth in Ghana and not the upper regions only. This is being done through essay competitions, data coding clinics, seminars and sensitization programs. It was recreated for the "profit of all".

NGAP wishes to bridge the divide in terms of provision of STEM related education for the benefit of rural youth in Ghana. To achieve this aim, NGAP has introduced the REACH CAMPAIGN. This campaign is designed to penetrate all the areas in the various regions with education, enlightenment and pro bono legal services for the vulnerable. It is the vision and hope of NGAP to create a conventional IT learning hub in the near future, which will provide Information Communication Technology skills to as many children and youth in the rural areas of Wa and the Upper Regions.

NGAP is totally dependent on donor funding. Currently the members of the Board are the only contributors to its activities. NGAP welcomes any form of contributions through funding or volunteering. Our aim is to impact and impart. NGAP is a group of selfless individuals ready to make a change and to see lives improve for the girl child, youth and women in Ghana.
